From starting a salon at 20 years of age to then creating Australia's first Hair & Beauty Industry specific Virtual Assistant Agency, Kara has lived, breathed and built businesses her whole working life. 

From Salon Owner to Virtual Assistant

I have been exactly where you are. Working full time with 3 small children at home, I knew there had to be a better way.

So, I decided to take the plunge, quit my job and launch a Virtual Assistant business specifically for the hair and beauty industry.
I didn't have a strategy or a plan, but I knew I had so many skills and first hand experience running a 7 figure beauty salon. 

Over the last 5 years I have hit the ground running with an online business that is flexible around the lifestyle I desire with my family. 

It has allowed me to be there for my kids every school holidays, do every pick up and drop off, have the additional money to pay for holidays, sports and get us through the cost of living crisis. 

You know there's a better way, you just need someone to guide you.

As a mother of 3, I had a deep desire to be there more for my kids. After taking a full time job when my youngest was just 10months old I struggled with the guilt of not being able to watch him grow. I missed out on my eldest two's school events and I wanted to be able to be more flexible around them. I new there had to be a better way.... 

I wanted to make money while I worked from home and that's when I thought, maybe I should give virtual assistance a go.

So I quit my job and had no idea what I was doing, but I new I had no choice but to make it work. 

I took my skills from running a highly successful 7 figure salon and transferred them into helping other salons run and grow their businesses. 

I had been in their shoes, so I knew this was the right industry for me to be building a VA business in. 

Having started just before the pandemic hit, I had no idea what was about to happen. 

But having a business that was completely remote, was the life line that I needed! I was able to home school my children, I didn't loose any income (in fact I was making the most I had ever made!) and my business exploded with only word of mouth. 

Fast forward 5 years and I have experienced it all! From starting and becoming booked out in 6 months to building a team of 5. I have failed and learned many lessons. 

And now it's my turn to help you do the same. Whether you want to earn some extra money to help support your family or you're looking for a full time career that you get to choose how it looks, I can guide you! 

One of the biggest challenges we have is knowing how to work and balance family life. 

The mental load we experience as women and in particular Mother's is A LOT. It's time for us to be the captains of our ships and steer our life in a direction the feels good for our family. 

My business has allowed us to stay in control of our finances all while being there for our kids. I so deeply want that for you too! 

I will be BRUTALLY honest though. This isn't a 'Get Rich Quick' course. You will need to put in the work.  Your business will only be successful if you do the work. 

I will give you my tips, lessons and guide you as much as I can, but at the end of the day - you have to show up and be willing to do the work to get your business flourishing.
